Hi, my name is Jinx Lunger, and I grew up in Arlington, Virginia, having moved here when I was two.  I attended Woodmont and Taylor Elementary Schools, Swanson Middle School, and Washington-Lee High School.  During high school I worked for the Arlington County Parks and Recreation Department as a camp counselor and served on the Citizens Advisory Committee for Libraries.  I also participated in the Arlington Cubs soccer team and the Arlington traveling team as well as both Swanson and Washingto-Lee soccer teams.

After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, I decided to return to Arlington, having missed its unique combination of diversity and "small town" atmosphere.  I then earned my Masters' Degree in Education from Marymount University and promptly went to work as an Arlington teacher.  I felt so well prepared for college that I wanted to help prepare Arlington's next generation.

In January of 2002, I began selling real estate while still teaching 4th grade at McKinnley Elementary School. I decided to get into the business as I saw my friends' confusion and misunderstanding of the process, and their need for help.  I had always found real estate fascinating and had spent many years watching and listening to my mother, Carol, so I felt well prepared even from the beginning of my real estate career.  In my first year  in real estate, I became a member of the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors' (NVAR) Multimillion Dollar Club, having sold over 2.2 million dollars in real estate that year.  While I continue to be a member of the Multimillion Dollar Club I have also been an NVAR "Top Producer." 

I also continued to teach 4th grade at McKinley Elementary until 2005, when my husband and I expanded our family with the birth of our first child.  After that, I took a leave of absence from teaching, and decided to transition into a full-time real estate career, as that gave me more flexibility, working in a team situation with both my mom and dad.
